Stunning EX/MINT condition copy. Original first UK press, featuring Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac as the backing band on all tracks.

Overall Sleeve Condition : EXCELLENT.

Front cover: Laminated front cover. The laminate sleeve is glossy, with bright, unfaded colours. Very light rubs to the laminate can be seen when viewed under a bright light at an angle. A few minute creases.

Rear cover: Matt rear cover, very light rubs.

Edges: Very light rubbing in a few places.

Corners:  Very light rubs.

Vinyl Condition, Visual:  MINT.

Superb, does not look worn or seem to have had any play, kept in a polylined inner sleeve. Kept in stunning condition by the previous owner.

Vinyl Condition, Audible:  MINT.

Plays superbly. Well preserved and cared for, no decrease from the original sound quality. Kept in stunning condition by the previous owner. No skips, no jumps, no sign of any play, no wear.

Perhaps due to Peter, John & Mick being the core band on this album backing up Boyd's piano and vocal work, I find "7936 South Rhodes" to be more pleasing than the "Eddie Boyd and his blues band featuring Peter Green" album (although Peter & John played on that one too, there were other musicians that didn't really gel well with Eddie's swings). "You got to reap" is a strong shuffling opener, "Just the blues" is a heartfelt slow burner, "She is real" is a breakneck piano tumbler on which John & Mick keep up with the pace well helped by some tasty Peter licks. "Backslap" is a fast piano led instrumental which includes a Green solo and John & Mick keep it moving. "Be careful" is a slow blues which sounds like it just has Eddie on piano and vocals along with Peter on guitar (as does "She's gone" it sounds like to me). "Ten to one" is another good stroll while "The blues is here to stay" is an effective up shuffler. "You are my love" is a slowish stroll, "Third degree" is another slow blues, "Thank you baby" is another breakneck swing with John, Mick & Peter chugging along nicely and there's good swing on the closing shuffle of "I'll never stop (I cant stop loving you)".

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (US version of this term: Near Mint): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (US version of this term: VG++): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (US version of this term: VG): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits etc.
