I purchased this book in the USA as I am a huge Rock & Roll Fan, If you like Eddie Cochran then this is for you. A need for space is forcing me to clear lots of items including A Buddy Holly Book bought in the Holly Center in Lubbock and a number of R & R Records.
I have read this book just once and it really is 'as new'.
You probably know all of this; Eddie was a songwriter, great guitar player, one of the first true R & R guitarists plus he had the gift of a natural voice that just 'ROCKED'. I saw him when I was a kid as he came along to a carnival in my home town with Gene Vincent and I remember thinking just how good looking he was.
This book is an in depth look at his life and brilliant career based on the recollections of those who new him best.
It contains 100 photographs, many rare and previously unpublished.
Cochran combined studio technique and guitar mastery with the rare ability to write really distinctive rock songs. Had he lived, he would surely have become a giant of popular music rather than merely a 50s footnote. Don't Forget Me goes some way to redressing the balance in our appreciation of the late, great Eddie Cochran
