EDDIE FLOYD (STAX) ORIGINAL 1967 performance contract.
A chance to own a unique piece of soul music history. From the Walden Artists and Promotions / Paragon estate. Phil Walden was a close friend and business partner of Otis Redding, and was responsible for managing the appearances of most contracted R&B acts from Stax, Atlantic and other labels across the southern states in the 1960s and early 1970s. This contract is for an appearance by Eddie Floyd at a "to be arranged" venue, possibly in Killeen,Texas in June 1967. The document outlines the terms, conditions, venue location, rehearsal times and deposit payable by the individual booking the artist. Also with the contract is a separate rider document with details for the artist to contact the promoter on arrival.
In very good condition for age. A well preserved item, especially considering this document is nearly 50 years old.
