For Simplicity I use Osbourne VISUAL Grading. 10=Mint(No noticeable marks, may have been played once or twice) 9=Near Mint(You will see a very few light marks. 8=Better Than VG but below NM (You will see several light marks-no deep marks) 7=Very Good (You will see a record that still has a good shine with many surface marks, no deep marks) 6=Better Than Good But Below VG (You will see a record that has some shine with many surface marks, no deep marks) 5=Good (You will see a record that has many surface marks, played and handled alot, but no deep marks) NOTE: My Deep Mark Definition: A Mark that looks as if a chisel scratched the record.
