Description
This was a mail order item from the early 1960's often in the back of Monster magazines. I am offering the first (4) of the 5 listed on the back of the jacket, # 36-37-38-39 not #40 which is questionable that it was pressed at all.
This Auction is for ALL 4 RECORDS OF THE SET.
Stamped on the upper left front of the jacket(s) and related to the content #36 "NIGHTMARE: side A The Pit and the Pendulum, B: The telltale Heart - #37 "HORROR: The Black Cat" parts 1 & 2, #38 - TERROR: A-The Premature Burial" B: Masque of the Red Death, FRIGHT: A: Fall of the House of Usher, B: same as A, part 2.
The Narrator was a Classical stage actor from England and has a voice that enhances the story. There is enough "spooky" background sounds in the background of his presentation.
The jackets protected by their shrink wrap are in EX visually graded all as 9/10, and a couple have very minor tear and loss of less than 1" loss on the front shrink. The albums all have original die center cut white inner sleeves. The records are highly glossy and overall like new, rate as EX just shy of M-. I obtained these from one source years ago and have done some research added to this listing.
