Description
Edgar Broughton Band - Sing Brother Sing
(Harvest SHVL 772 UK LP 1970)
This is a UK original LP pressing. It has a front laminated gatefold sleeve. It comes with its original polythene-lined company plain inner sleeve. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has 1st press A-3/ B-3 matrix stampers. The "Harvest" labels have "The Gramophone Co..." text around the upper perimeter. There is no boxed "EMI" logo either. It comes complete with its original Lyric Insert. It is printed on semi buff paper.
This is a genuine UK 1st pressing. A great early 1970's UK Psych-Prog-Rock LP.
Gatefold Sleeve: There is a small crease in the bottom corner of the front sleeve & into the inner gatefold. There is some light or very mild ringwear in some areas. VG++ condition
Vinyl: There is a long 10 cm hairline mark that goes around the groove on the 2nd track on Side 1. There are three other light hairline marks. These measure 2 cm, 3 cm & 3 cm in length. Otherwise, there are some light or very mild sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light. VG condition. The labels are in Near Excellent condition & show light to very mild spindle wear. The company polythene-lined inner sleeve is in VG+ condition. There is some light to mild ringwear & creasing. There are no seam splits.
The Lyric Inner Sleeve is in EX condition. There is some minor foxing in one corner.
I have fully play tested this LP. There is some mild to more moderate distortion, that lasts for a very few revolutions, at the start of Side 2. As stated, this does not last very long. Overall it plays VG+ to Near Excellent overall & Excellent in some places. There is some light, mild or very mild crackle in some quieter places. There is a small click just before one track on Side 2.
