This is my new account that I have set up primarily for vinyl records.  I will be listing my fathers rather rare records other the next week so come and grab some rare wax!!

You can bid with absolute confidence as I describe with total honesty with as many pictures as possible.

I know what it is like to get an over graded record turning up 2 weeks late, but that is not the service you will receive here.  I am a true lover of vinyl and this passion will be transferred to the security of your records!!

Up for auction is a UK first pressing of The Edgar Broughton Band’s iconic debut Wasa Wasa record!

Wasa Wasa is the debut album by progressive rock band, Edgar Broughton Band. The album was originally released as "Harvest SHVL 757" in July 1969 and was produced by Peter Jenner (No EMI logo) was featured on the labels only on the first issues later pressings feature EMI

This is the first press with the laminated EJ Day printed gatefold outer sleeve!

It has the 1st press Harvest labels with no mention of EMI and the gramophone text around the rim.

To come across a first press Edgar Broughton debut is always a rarity, but in this condition, it’s once in a lifetime!

Not only that, but it has the earliest stampers, making it the closest you can surely get to that studio sound!

Sleeve Condition.

The 1st print laminated gatefold sleeve printed by EJ Day is in superb condition! There are no stains, splits or writing to mention!  All the edges are straight and crisp with only the very mildest shelf wear to corners and the occasion light crease.  The colours are as vibrant as they were on the day of release.   The spine is perfectly readable as it should be.  It’s a stunning cover that won’t disappoint!

Inner Condition.

The 1st press white inner is in splendid condition, with no writing, stains or tears to mention!  All the edges are nice and sharp and it holds the record perfectly as it should!  Just some mild folding to mention! Near Perfect!

Label Condition.

The first press Harvest labels are in fantastic condition. There is no mention of EMI which signifies only the first presses!  There are no rips, rubbing, writing or stains to mention.  There is no centre hole damage at all.  Even under a strong light, only some minor invisible spindle lines can be seen!  It’s clear that this record has been handled with extreme care for the last 45 years!

Vinyl Visual Condition.

The record itself looks beautiful!  It still retains its factory shine and lustre with no scratches or warping at all.  Under a strong halogen bulb only a couple of wispy removals can be seen!  It’s unheard of to find Wasa Wasa in this condition!

Vinyl Audio Condition.

The record sounded great from start to finish.  The sound was sharp and clear with no distortion, jumps or skips at all!  I didn’t hear a single click throughout.  The band was clearly separable by the ear on all frequencies! This is how a first press should be heard! There was some minor static between the odd track that I’m sure a deep clean could remove, but it was barely noticeable.  Even on full volume it sounded utterly amazing!

So there we have it.  Arguably the cleanest and most pristine examples of a 1st press Wasa Wasa that you will ever come across!

This is there most sought after record and in this condition is as rare as they come!

All my records will be sent first class, signed for and insured to their value!

I will package the records with extreme care, with hard stiffeners and the vinyl separate to the sleeve and inner, all housed in a Defenda lock tab record box envelope.

 I try to be as honest as I can in my descriptions, taking as many pictures as possible, but if you don’t feel happy with your purchase, I offer no quibble full refunds as soon as the record is sent back.  I will not give partial refunds however, only full.  I think this is fair, Thanks!

Over the next month I will be listing my Fathers record collection.  He was an avid collector who amassed a pretty huge collection that I will be offering all at 99p starts! I shall be listing No Emi Harvests, 1st press Beatles, Pink Islands and loads of other rarities! 

They are mostly in near perfect condition with my dad putting most on tape in the 80’s, then once again onto CD in the 90’s, and since they have been sat unplayed and always in plastic covers! , so stay tuned if you’re interested in some good old rare wax!
