Description
Up for bids is an EXTREMELY RARE EDISON 12" Long playing, 40 minute Diamond Disc. A true piece of history. The first long playing record, released in very limited amounts in the late 20's by the Edison. This record requires a special needle to play. I do not have that needle, therefore I have not played it. It has lite scuffs that should not sound but they are visible. A few scratches that are not deep but may or may not cause ticking. On the 30002-L side it has a small lamination chip that does not go into the grooves and an area of deeper needle wear about 3/4" in for maybe 1 or two passes. The label on that side has an area where ther was once a sticker. Also label has peeled back and been trimmed some time in the past, underneath is the same label? that was pasted over at the manufacturing plant. It looks as though it could play without too many issues, but I cannot guarantee it at all. If nothing else it will make a super rare edition to your Edison collection. No reserve. No smells or mold. Sold AS IS. Will be packed with care and thought in an oversize box. Shipping for USA will be Media rate. Canada will be Priority rate. No Worldwide shipping.
