Description
I'm pruning my Adrian Rollini collection as I've several duplicates collected over 50 years (see my other items)
This is a 10" Edison Diamond Disc gramophone or phonograph record by the Golden Gate Orchestra (aka California Ramblers) recorded in New York in the mid 1920's jazz age featuring the brilliant & unique bass saxophone of Adrian Rollini.
Edison usually recorded 3 different takes (A,B & C) of each title & released them with random couplings - so in order to get all 3 takes of each title, a collector often ends up with duplicates - hence my pruning. Because Edisons are generally much rarer than most GGO recordings on other record labels, they are more expensive & each one of these has been sourced, purchased & imported personally by me over many years. My starting price is about half what each record has cost me to buy & import it, so there are some bargains to be had for these records with takes as shown below, some rare. Record is graded visually using VJM standard.
