Up for bid is the 4 minute Edison Blue Amberol cylinder record #5470 "My Blue Heaven", sung by Vaughn De Leath with Orchestra. Released February, 1928, this record is in great condition. Plays well and sounds good. It comes in a Blue Amberol box, no lid.

"My Blue Heaven" is a popular song written in 1924 by Walter Donaldson with lyrics by George A. Whiting. Donaldson wrote the music one afternoon at the Friars Club in New York while waiting for his turn at the billiard table. The song was written while Donaldson was under contract to Irving Berlin, working for Berlin's publishing company, Irving Berlin Inc. Whiting wrote lyrics adapted for Donaldson's music, and for a while, performed it in his vaudeville act. Three years later, Tommy Lyman started singing it on the radio as his theme song. First Published in 1927, the song has since become a standard in the American music catalog. Hit versions have been recorded by many artists over the years, including this very early version by Miss Vaughn De Leath.
