Description
Up for bid is a rare Edison item. A late electrically recorded test pressing that was once filed at the Edison labratory. Top of sleeve has written on top left 19249 A and right side has 19249 B. Matrices are 19249-A-1-1 and 19249 B-1-1.There are remarks on sleeve that say listed B- OK Com. 6/26/29 and Bye & Bye Sweetheart Hawaiian Troubadors. It has a steel guitar at first and last of the music and sounds more like an orchestra than Hawaiian and has a vocal by a familiar voice. It is a nice melody! Not sure if A side was ever issued. Record is in very nice shape! No scratches as has always been in this sleeve. There are some very edge flakes on A side but nowhere near the starting area. The test pressings have a very distinct "rough edge" as they were not put through the finishing stage and are slightly wider than the commercial copies and they DO have an awesome sound though! Winner pays 6.50 for U.S Priority shipping with delivery confirmation. Payment due within 5 days of auction end! Many thanks for looking!
