Well folks, now it is time for me to start letting go of some of the many, many records that I have acquired over the past 8-9 years of collecting. This week includes a couple Edison gems, including the record above.
The record in this auction, Edison Disc 52651, is the last of the long line of Edison Disc records. It was the last numbered Diamond Disc ever produced, and is very, very difficult to find these days. In fact, you may want to ask yourself if you will ever see this record again. Starring Vaughn De Leath, one of the great radio personalities of her day, these recordings are just plain cool. It's in pretty good shape, as evidenced by the grading scale above. Now, there is some surface noise, and both labels have some wear to them but nothing especially noticeable, considering the true rarity of this record.
