First of all, take a look at the lid.  It is an overlay from the legendary Peter Bacigalupi Agency, 933 Market Street, San Francisco CA.  The original title slip has been neatly trimmed and glued to the lid.  Both the box and lid are in good condition.  The record is in excellent condition - no cracks, mold spots, pits, scored grooves or any other defects, and it plays loud and clear with a minimum of surface noise.  There is a small chip on the end rim, but it comes nowhere near the grooves.  The selection itself is a lively schottische, bordering on ragtime.  Koenigsberg "Edison Cylinder Records" (2nd ed.) does not list this selection as played by the Peerless Orchestra but rather as a vocal by Harry MacDonough.  Perhaps one of our readers can supply the number of this delightful cylinder.  Be sure to check out the other fine Concert Cylinders we have listed this week.
