Description

EDISON (Thomas A. Edison, Inc. Orange N.J.) "Needle Type Electric" Record No. 14028 "I Want to Meander in the Meadow" (R side) "Peace of Mind" (L side) Performed by The Edisongsters, male voices with piano. Somewhat scarce, Edison's late entry lateral cut, electrically recorded, disc. Introduced in 1929 just a short time before Edison stopped all phonograph and record production. These recordings feature excellent sound for the period and reflect Edison's concern to achieve maximum fidelity as with the vertical cut Diamond Disc records. This copy is in Good condition, there is a small piece of the label missing on the R side just to the left of the record number, this may be seen in the photo.
