This week I’ll be auctioning off several Edison phonograph parts, including the case to an Edison Triumph, and an Ediphone reproducer, so be sure to check my other auctions! This auction is for the upper and lower works to an Edison Triumph Model B cylinder player, which dates from around 1906 or so. It has a 2/4 minute gearing changer, which is a rather in-demand part. The mandrel is free from dents. I also have an extra bag of pieces (not pictured) that I had to remove to get the upper and lower works apart… such as the screws that fasten the two sets of works together, the speed control knob, the bracket that holds the pads for the governor, and the stop switch. The crank is not present. The mechanics here are basically in the same condition as it was when I found it… I haven’t messed with anything or “borrowed” any parts. All I’ve done to it is to clean some of the 100+ years of grease off the top works, just to make it look presentable for the pictures I took. I also removed some spider webs which probably dated to World War One or something. The original cylinder shaver is present, but I'm not entirely sure of its condition... it looks like there is some sort of tension spring in it that isn't working. The crank is not present, but motor does have spring tension. The motor does run, though without a crank, I can’t wind it all the way. Basically, what I’m trying to say is that this machine is very much “barn fresh” and ready for restoration! Buyer pays shipping and handling. INTERNATIONAL BIDS WELCOME.
