Description
One of the defining voices of the 20th century, Edith Piaf remains synonymous with French chanson, heartbreak, romance, and postwar Parisian culture. “La Vie En Rose” became her signature song and ultimately one of the most recognizable recordings ever associated with France.
This vintage Columbia Extended Play issue collects four classic Piaf performances:
- La Vie En Rose
- Les Amants De Paris
- Adieu Mon Coeur
- Un Refrain Courait Dans La Rue
Original Columbia Masterworks blue-label EP with the striking black-and-pink picture sleeve. The cover design is classic early-1950s Columbia EP presentation and displays beautifully despite age wear.
Vinyl retains strong gloss with light visible handling and surface wear consistent with a solid VG+ vintage EP. Labels present nicely overall. Sleeve shows age wear, handling, edge wear, and small writing at upper front but remains highly displayable.
Playback is strong VG+ with excellent vintage presence.
NOTE: Please consider that your audio equipment blows mine away and the record will invariably sound better on your system. Also, I do not have the ability to professionally clean records and give one static brush before ONE sampling, then back into the sleeve and jacket. My goal is to give you all you need for a transparent purchasing experience.
