Edwin Starr - Time/ Running Back & Forth
(Tamla Motown TMG 1028 UK 7" 1970)
This is a mid 1970's UK Demo 7" single pressing. It has black & silver "Tamla Motown" "Demo" labels which have a 4 pronged centre. The record has 1st press A-1/ B-1 matrix stampers. It comes with its original Tamla Motown company paper sleeve. A very good Northern Soul single.
Vinyl: There are mild, more moderate to moderate sleeve rubs, or surface rub marks, which can be seen under a strong light. The sleeve, over time, has left some light, mild or more moderate dull surface marks on some areas. These can only be seen under a strong light. Overall, Good+ condition. The labels are in Excellent+ condition & show minimal spindle wear. The company paper sleeve is in Very Good++ condition. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear & creasing. There is mild writing on one side. There are no seam splits.
I have fully play tested this 7" single. It plays Good to Good+ overall. There is some mild, more moderate to moderate crackle in the background to a varying degree. This is most noticeable in the quieter places. It never completely overpowers the music. However, this is a bit of a crackly copy.
