Description

 Eels - Souljacker LP

This auction is for a very rare LP copy of Souljacker by Eels. This copy is in Ex+ condition. The outer jacket and original picture inner are both in perfect condition with absolutely no splits or damage. The record itself is in excellent condition and plays through completely without any skips.

There are a few very small imperfections with the LP which I will detail here:

  • There is a slight but audible distortion on the last few rotations of Friendly Ghost (the last track on side 1). This only lasts a few seconds.
  • A couple of notes are dropped during the instrumental section of Teenage Witch. This appears to be due to a pressing imperfection rather than a mark on the LP as no mark is visible on inspection. The result is that the song jumps a couple of notes in this section. It is noticable but slight and does not affect the playback of the LP which is smooth at all times. I would stress that this doesn't appear to be due to damage to the vinyl but to a pressing defect and also that it is a very small defect.
  • There is a slight but audible distortion on the last few rotations of Souljacker Part II which is the second last track on side 2. As with Friendly Ghost, this distortion only lasts a cople of seconds and is extremely slight. It disappears before the final track on side 2 (What Is This Note?) begins.
All of the above imperfections are extremely small and some might go unnoticed if they were not mentioned.  I only mention them here so that bidders know exactly what they will receive. The playback of the LP is smooth from start to finish and is not interrupted by any of the imperfections listed. Overall this is an excellent copy of a great album which is extremely difficult to find on LP. A low starting bid and a rare opportunity.
