121.  As usual for Edison, this disc was recorded nearly three years after this famous work was first performed and recorded by Victor.  The first Victor recording came out in June of 1924, the electrical remake was issued in October of 1927, and the Edison version was first offered in November of 1927.  The Edisonians are a large studio orchestra, and the piano soloist is Frank Banta.  It's actually a fairly spirited recording, and quite enjoyable.  The record is in very good condition, though I would not use the word excellent.  There are some light surface rubs on the outer lead-in area, and the slightest trace of groove wear on a few very loud passages.  There are no chips, scratches, marks or moisture damage.  Let's call it an 8 on a scale of 10.  This is a classic disc of the Edison electrical series, and worthy of inclusion in your collection.
