Up for grabs is this UK original Various Artists 4-LP vinyl box set entitled Electric Muse - The Story Of Folk Into Rock. It contains 56 tracks (see full details below) and includes a 16-page LP-sized booklet. Also included is a UK first edition of the Electric Muse paperback book (by Dave Laing, Karl Dallas, Robin Denselow and Robert Shelton - published by Methuen) which was issued as a tie-in to the box set. On the Island / Transatlantic label, the catalogue number of the box set is FOLK 1001 and the date of issue is 1975.

Condition

The vinyl is all in Excellent condition.

The labels are all in Excellent condition, clean and bright with clear, perfect printing but some light spindle marks.

The covers are all in Excellent condition. The spines are complete with clear, bright printing.

The booklet is in Very Good Minus condition. as it has some wear to the front and a small tear near the top left corner on the front (see pic).

The box is in Very Good Minus condition. There is a bit of damage on the top right corner from a sticker and some edge wear at the top and bottom. The spine is complete with clear printing and just a few scuffs and a bit of wear to the top and bottom.

The accompanying paperback book is complete with only a bit of wear and some edge staining but no tears, writing etc BUT the glue has deteriorated so that pages 139 to 148 have become detached from the book (although still attached to each other) (see pics). It's still readable though and is a good accompaniment to the records so hopefully still of some interest.

All my vinyl records are strictly graded according to Record Collector magazine's grading system. Please check my GRADING GUIDE to see a description of each grade. If any item has any writing, stickers, sticker marks, tears etc these will always be mentioned along with the grading. All records are sent in custom-made mailers, with stiffeners, and are packaged outside their sleeves to prevent edge splits.
