Description

Jimmy Dorsey (as James Dorsey) is accompanied by a small but

all-star group of New York musicians, and he plays a great clarinet

solo entitled "Prayin' The Blues" on 78rpm Electric OKeh 41245.


Eddie Lang, Mannie Klein, Leo McConville, Arthur Schutt, and brother

Tommy are all sitting in.


On the reverse side, with the same accompaniment, he switches to

saxophone and plays a hot tune, "Beebe."


Both sides were recorded in New York on June 13, 1929.


The record is in excellent-plus (E+) condition.
