Red McKenzie leads a group of New York City All-Star Jazzmen calling

themselves the Mound City Blue Blowers, and they play "Darktown

Strutters Ball" and "You Rascal You" on 78rpm Electric OKeh 41526.


Included in the group are Muggsy Spanier, Jimmie Dorsey, Coleman

Hawkins, and Eddie Condon. Some nice solos!


Both sides of this Depression disc were recorded in New York on

June 30, 1931.


The record is in excellent-minus (E-) condition on the first side, and

excellent to excellent-minus (E to E-) condition on the reverse. Both

sides play great!
