Offered here is a complete stereo gatefold set of Ella Fitzgerald Sings the George and Ira Gershwin Song Book Volumes 1 through 5, issued by Verve Records in the early 1960s and arranged/conducted by Nelson Riddle. This is not just one of the most ambitious jazz vocal projects ever recorded — it’s also among the most beautifully presented, with original gatefold covers featuring artwork by modernist master Bernard Buffet.

These five LPs represent the pinnacle of Ella’s interpretive brilliance, supported by lush, cinematic arrangements. Each cover is adorned with Buffet’s haunting, angular linework — still revered in both the visual and jazz collecting communities.
