Description

This is Verve Records MG V-4024-8, Ella Fitzgerald Sings The George And Ira Gershwin Song Books, a black, deep groove, "t", Made In USA label, original mono issue of this classic 5 LP Box. This is the complete set including the hardcover book (photo 5), the extra  7" instrumental EP (photo6), and 5 Buffet print folio with sleeve (photos 4 & 8). The records are in VG++ condition showing  a few light marks that cause a few random, very light background clicks. The rest of the records play quietly throughout. I'm pretty certain that the records were only played once or twice before I play graded the entire set. The original box has been separated and has a split on both bottom joins (photos 9-10) but is otherwise excellent. The labels are excellent and show almost no spindle marks. The hardbound book (The Gershwins Words Upon Music) and 5 print folio of the individual Buffet paintings which make up the covers to the individual album issues, and it's original sleeve, are excellent as well.. Contemporaneous articles and reviews compiled by the original owner will be also be included. This is an excellent collector's grade copy of  this rare and wonderful complete original mono issue. The records were cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12.  For International bidders, please wait for an invoice for the proper shipping information which will be sent once the package is properly prepared.
