Description
Ellington At Newport Duke Ellington And His Orchestra True Mono French pressed (but with English sleeve notes) CBS in a proper Analogue transfer. This type of label was around between 1974 and 1980. As the performance date was 1956, the 20th anniversary of 1976 is the most likely issue date. Legendary for the Paul Gonsalves solo to Diminuendo and Crescendo in Blue, which is just wild. Ellington is someone I probably have the most records by, close to a 100 at a guess, and this is in my top 5. Unmarked near mint record looks unplayed, no spindle marks visible, and I also have an original anyway, so an un-noticed duplicate in my deep collection. Sleeve is also near mint. A great sounding capture of an unbelievable gig. My goal is to offer you best sounding analogue only pressings of vintage records. Here is another beauty of that type. We offer massive postage subsidies to overseas buyers on multiple purchases. i.e £1 extra per lp to a maximum of £15, then no extra charge. We pack carefully in custom made hard card boxes. If the appearance or playgrade suggests it requires it, our records are cleaned on a wash and vac machine, using art du son fluid in distilled water. This is already in a new heavy poly outer with antistatic inners added with outer sleeve and records all layered behind each other to prevent splits.
