Description

This is the rare original deep-groove pressing of Elmo Hope “Here’s Hope!” on Celebrity CEL-209. The playing surface is in near-new condition; however, typical of Celebrity and Beacon pressings, the surface has many tiny inaudible blisters, except for one in “Stars Over Marakesh” that produces three soft thuds; otherwise the sound is clear and crisp throughout; perhaps played once or twice. The laminated cover is also in extraordinary condition, with sharp corners and perfect seams; the back slick shows normal age toning and a 1/8” x 5/8” chip on the right edge of the back slick; gold Beacon sticker at the upper left corner of the front.
