Elmore James - Blues After Hours - Crown 5168 Original Black Label!
Crown was a budget label, but some of their album cover designs were fabulous. This classic remains as one of the most memorable ever - the fantastic bar floozie! Elmore James and his gritty slide guitar stand unmatched, although his followers have been many; Johnny Littlejohn, J.B. Hutto, Jeremy Spencer (early Fleetwood Mac), Lil' Ed and more too numerous to list here. The front jacket shows only some very minor signs of age and almost no ring wear. There's very light shelf wear overall. The back cover is very clean, except for two very minor tears at opening. No stickers, writing or seam splits. Very light spindle marks and the vinyl shows great sheen and only minimal handling. A super album, an incredible cover photo and a superb slide guitarist. Great overall condition for its age.
All records are sold on an AS IS basis. No returns. I am not a record dealer, so I won't attempt to grade anything I list, as collectors often use different methods of grading.
