Elmore James - Blues After Hours - Crown 5168 Original Black Label!

Crown might have been a budget label, but some of their album cover designs were fabulous. This remains as one of the most memorable ever - the fantastic bar floozie! Elmore James and his gritty slide guitar stand unmatched. His followers have been many; Johnny Littlejohn, J.B. Hutto, Jeremy Spencer (early Fleetwood Mac), Lil' Ed and many more too numerous to mention. The front jacket shows some light ring wear, but certainly nothing bad. There's also some light shelf wear. The back cover is very clean, again showing just a little wear. No stickers, writing or seam splits. Both labels are clean and the vinyl shows almost no wear. A great album, an incredible cover photo and a superb slide guitarist. Very nice.

All records are sold on an AS IS basis. No returns. I am not a record dealer, so I won't attempt to grade anything I list, as collectors often use different methods of grading. However, I will take note of any imperfections that are visible. I've been a private collector for years and am now listing many rare and hard-to-find blues records.
