the is a ultra rare Dick James Music, Elton John/Bernie Taupin Acetate! It is 8", one sided, vinyl over metal. It is not sung by Elton, its a unknown woman singing. Now this recording is before Elton was famous, he was just contracted be Dick James to write songs. Here is some wiki info: James signed Elton John and his lyricist Bernie Taupin as untried unknowns in 1967 after his son Stephen, who had been working with his father since 1963, found Elton John using their recording studios late at night without permission. Stephen, who had started the recording studios and opened a record production company called This Productions, formed DJM Records in 1969. All of John's releases up to 1976 were issued on the DJM record label. Ok, Elton and Bernie wrote it, must have "shopped" it, nobody wanted it,so Elton recorded it himself? Not sure but this is a rare historical Elton/DJM piece! The arrangement is not the same one you will hear on the album, totally different in a good way. A little more up tempo, clear drums with a trebly bass line. A recorded that you will only have! In super condition,plays great all the way thru. A tiny micro piece missing on the edge(see pic).
