Elton John - "I Get A Little Bit Lonely" bootleg. This extremely rare album is still in it's original wrap from the day I bought it. By far the rarest of all the bootlegs, and among the most difficult pieces to obtain in any condition. This item is SEALED and almost impossible to find. There is an instance or two of separation of the wrap, as seen in the photo. The album has been carefully stored in a vinyl-friendly environment for over 40 years. A must-have for any collector of rare Elton John memorabilia.

Most of the Elton John bootlegs that surfaced in the 1970s contained live performances; I Get a Little Bit Lonely, however, is an ultra-rare bootleg LP that contains an assortment of late 1960s studio rarities and demos that John and partner Bernie Taupin worked on during their pre-Empty Sky months. Most of the material was never released commercially in the U.S., although some of it was released commercially in England but is little known, such as the 1968 single "I've Been Loving You for Too Long." The songs are generally decent and occasionally excellent -- highlights of this LP range from catchy uptempo numbers like "Rock Me When I'm Gone" and the title song to sensitive, Beatles-influenced pieces such as "A Dandelion Dies in the Wind," "The Flowers Will Never Die," "Tartan Colored Lady," and "The Tide Will Turn for Rebecca." The John Lennon/Paul McCartney influence is strong on many of these songs, and yet, John sounded distinctive even in 1968. If I Get a Little Bit Lonely has demo-like sound quality, that's because many of the recordings are, in fact, demos. This bootleg became a major collector's item in the 1970s, and by the end of the decade, it was extremely difficult to find.
