Description
From my personal collection and in my possession for nearly 50 years! Exceedingly well cared-for and always kept in a plastic slip case.
This is the first pressing of Elton's debut album, on deep red vinyl (when held up to a strong light source). When I was a kid, these red discs were always considered to be indicative of the finest available pressings.
This copy is in outstanding, near-mint condition. Possibly played only once!
The matrix #s are: DJLPS 403A2-? H and DJLPS 403B3-? H
The textured sleeve is similarly fine, with very limited evidence of shelf/edge/ring wear. Easily a grade of "Excellent." There is one pronounced scuff on the bottom edge and a very light set of impressions on the front in the border to the left of the illustration.
