Description
Offered for Sale is an Elton John "LADY SAMANTHA " lp.
The single of LADY SAMANTHA was released January 17, 1969 as his 2nd single, six months before his 1st album EMPTY SKY came out.
The songs originally were only released in cassette and 8-track formats in 1974.
It took until 1980 for it to come out on vinyl.
It is on the DJM record label with the LP # DJM 22085.
This is the ORIGINAL 1980 MINT IMPORT lp, with the ORIGINAL inner plain white sleeve.
This LP had never been played, (till now) but as a PROMO I received it open. I play tested it and can say 100% that the record is primo.
Never the less, after 35 to 45 years of shifting around in boxes, wear does occur, so PLEASE check the photos for a clear picture of what you will be receiving. I do not rate covers, only the vinyl itself. Also, there may be minor scuffing marks, from the inner sleeve. This IN NO WAY affects the sound, or I would not list it. There is also the possibility that the inner sleeve could have a slit on one or more of its sides.
NOTE: I was a buyer for two different record chains in Hollywood, Ca. As such, I received a couple of boxes of records a week, to entice me to buy. More often than not, they were always open copies, and if you wanted to sell them to a used record store you could only get about a $1.00 cash, or $2.00 in trade for them.
