Today's Auctions:  I have been commissioned to sell one of the nicest Elvis record collections I have ever seen. You will see more of this collection in the coming weeks, but I am starting things with a bang with some of the rarest Elvis records in the world today.  This collector has taken years to put this collection together, but has reluctantly decided to part with it.  You will be amazed at the rarity of these items, but even more impressed at the condition of these nearly impossible to find items.  These records are at the pinnicle of Elvis collecting , these were incredibly valuable the day they were produced, here many years later they are basically priceless to a collector.  The owner of these records understands the significance of these records and says start them at $9.99, he is that confident in their rarity and value!  This record requires insurance and tracking!

A Closer Look At the Item:  Wow!  How is this for a day of rare Elvis records!  Last up is the next to impossible to find "Blue Christmas", the rare promo that was made in November of 1957.  Don't quite know why this was made and how it was distributed, but man this is rare.  In 30 years I have seen or heard about two of these being available, one of lesser quality was offered on ebay within the last year and about 10 years ago I saw one in Memphis and it had a chip in it and sold for $2000.  The book on this one is a bit low for sheer rarity, I believe this is the rarest of all Elvis promo 45's out there.  Now the best part, the condition of this record is stunning.  The labels are both in terrific condition, no wear, no imperfections, no writing.  The vinyl is about as nice as you will ever see, all the gloss and sheen of new, really even against a bright light nearly perfect, just the tiniest of one of two extremely small paper scuffs.  I am being very critical here because of the significance and value of this record.  Most would consider this record mint, it is a beauty!  This is the real thing, absolutely the original promo from 1957.  If you are lucky enough to win this or any of the others today, you will have placed something in your collection that very few will have or ever have.  Just not that many exist.

Note on Packaging:  All of my 45's will be packaged in a Japanese resealable mylar sleeves, the finest in the industry.  Also the record(s) will be placed outside the cover to not allow any seam splits to occur during transit.  The record(s) will be packaged safely in a box, no envelopes here.

Rating Guide:

Mint (M):  Perfect in every way, looks to have never been played, should have that look just as it did when you pulled the record from the new cover at the time of original purchase.

Mint Minus (M-):  A nearly perfect record and cover.  This item should show no readily visible signs of wear,  covers and sleeves should have no more than nearly invisible rings or other signs of slight wear and vinyl should still be completely glossy and shiney, just the very lightest hint of wear if it is tilted to very bright light.

Very Good Plus (VG+):  This record will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled carefully by the previous owner.  Record surfaces will show some light signs of paper scuffing or light scratches, that don't affect the listening experience.  Slight warps that do not affect sound are OK.  This disc should still contain much of its original luster and sheen.  The covers and picture sleeves should also be in very nice shape, they may have light ring wear or other signs of wear, may have a small cut out hole, indention or stamping present.  Also there can be non obvious writing on the paper goods.

Very Good (VG):  Many of the defects found in the VG+ record and cover will be present but more pronounced in the VG item.  Surface noise will be evident, although the record should play through without skipping or repeating.  Groove wear will now be noticable, scuffing and light scratching will be appearent, a scratch now can be felt with a fingernail.  Labels will be marred with tape or tape residue, stickers or descret writing.  The same will be true for the LP cover or picture sleeve.

Good (G):  Good does not mean bad!  A record in good condition should be placed on a turntable and it should play through, all though the surface noise will be evident.  A cover or picture sleeve will have seam splitting, especially on the bottom seam or spine.  Also there will be noticable ring wear caused by the presence of the record.  The defects will start to overwhere this item.

Fair (F) or Poor (P):  This record will be cracked, badly warped, and will not play through without skipping or repeating.  The picture sleeeve or LP cover will show lots and lots of wear, the seams will be split on all three sides barely able to hold the record.  This item will appear near valueless, unless of course it is a rarity that may not be seen again.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!
