ELVIS PRESLEY – CLAMBAKE

Original 1967 U.S. RCA Victor Stereo Promotional Copy

LSP-3893 — BONUS ELVIS & PRISCILLA PHOTO — ORIGINAL INNER SLEEVE

This is not an ordinary copy of Clambake.

Offered here is an original 1967 U.S. RCA Victor LSP-3893 Stereo promotional copy, complete with the highly sought-after original full-color Elvis & Priscilla bonus photograph and the original period RCA inner sleeve.

For the serious Elvis Presley collector, this is a particularly desirable combination.

The LSP-3893 was issued in November 1967, and the original release was promoted with a limited-time bonus: a full-color photograph of Elvis and Priscilla. Contemporary advertising confirms the special bonus offer, and specialist Elvis discographies document the 12” × 12” photograph as part of the original 1967 release.

⭐ PROMOTIONAL COPY

This is a PROMO copy.

Promotional examples of the LSP-3893 are significantly more interesting to collectors than an ordinary commercial copy, particularly when found with the original bonus material.

Specialist Elvis collecting references specifically document promotional LSP-3893 copies, including copies identified by promotional markings/stamps.

The promotional status of this particular copy is shown/disclosed in the photographs.

⭐ ORIGINAL ELVIS & PRISCILLA BONUS PHOTO

One of the biggest attractions of this copy is that the original bonus photograph is still present.

This is the large-format full-color Elvis and Priscilla wedding photograph, measuring approximately 12” × 12”, with the printed message:

“Thanks for everything from both of us, Elvis and Priscilla.”

This photograph was a limited-time promotional bonus included with original copies of the album and is one of the features that collectors specifically look for when hunting an early LSP-3893.

The photograph included here is the original period insert — not a modern reproduction.

⭐ ORIGINAL RCA INNER SLEEVE

Also included is the original period RCA Victor inner sleeve, complete with the contemporary Elvis catalog advertising.

The specialist discography identifies the period inner sleeve associated with this release as 21-112-1 40C (3/1967).

This makes the package considerably more complete and desirable for an Elvis RCA collector.

⸻

VINYL – EX / EX+

The record presents beautifully.

The playing surfaces retain a strong, glossy appearance and show only light evidence of handling/use under strong light.

There are some very light surface hairlines visible on close inspection, but no deep scratches or obvious groove damage are apparent in the photographs.

The labels are exceptionally clean and retain excellent color and print detail.

This is a very attractive collector-grade playing copy rather than a heavily used vintage soundtrack.

⸻

COVER – VG+ / EX-

The original jacket retains the highly desirable “SPECIAL BONUS – FULL COLOR PHOTO INSIDE” promotional artwork on the front.

The original shrink wrap is still present, adding considerably to the visual appeal and helping explain the unusually strong color retention.

There is some age-related wear and handling visible beneath/around the shrink, particularly on the rear panel and edges, and the photographs should be considered part of the condition description.

Importantly, however, the jacket retains its original promotional configuration and bonus-photo advertising, exactly the features collectors want to see on an early copy.

Please examine all photographs carefully. The exact copy shown is the copy you will receive.
