Description
For sale is Elvis Costello's My Aim Is True, originally released in 1977 on Stiff Records. I bought this new and immediately put this album, like all my records, in a protective inner sleeve. Doing this leaves the inner sleeve in near mint shape. You may be thinking, "What idiot tried to remove the glue residue from the cover and made a large smudge-like mark". That idiot was me! As a result, I graded this cover VG+ because of this and a slight color break on the spine. In the run-out area between the label and the trail out of the last song are the matrix #'s A1/B1 followed by "A Porky Prime Cut" etched in the dead wax. This signifies that this record was mastered by George Peckham, the legendary cutting engineer. This is probably one of the best sounding versions of this record I have ever heard! Maybe better than the expensive MFSL versions available lately. The vinyl is Near Mint. It's been played on only Audiophile equipment over the years and still has a lot of life yet. This would make a great addition to anyone's collection, whether you're an Audiophile or not. I'm a big fan of Elvis and have a lot of his 45 RPM singles and more of his albums in my Ebay store. Please take a look! There are ALL near mint! I've been collecting records for about 50 years now and have always cleaned them and put them away carefully in plastic inner sleeves. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative. I offer discounts for multiple sales. Photos are of the actual item for sale, not a stock photo. Please review all descriptions and photos because I do not accept returns. Thank you for looking!
