Description
Soho Music is proud, nay, humbled to present this amazing rarity from our archive. An original artwork proof for Elvis Costello - Punch The Clock. This was the original design submitted by Barney Bubbles which was rejected. You are buying an original item made in 1983 and which came directly from F Beat Records. The proof for the outer sleeve is on heavier card, has the printers registration marks, and measures approximately 64 cm x 35 cm, while the inner sleeve measures approximately 63.5 cm x 35.3 cm. They are near mint with just the odd bit of faint yellowing to the edges. These have sold upwards of £300 when they have appeared which is not very often, so this is a great opportunity to grab one while you can. A similar one can be seen on page 214 of Paul Gorman's excellent book on Barney - Reasons to be Cheerful - The Life and Works of Barney Bubbles, published by Adelita Ltd. These will be posted flat.
