Description

This white label promotional or demonstration only vinyl release features Elvis Costello introducing his favorite country songs from his album, Almost Blue.  This limited edition vinyl pressing coincided with the release of the album itself as it was mailed to record stations for use in promotion.  These kinds of promotional only/demonstration albums were always pressed  in very low numbers and are very rare and sought after collector's items.  Popsike values this album at anywhere from $91.00 to $128.00.  I am listing it at a much more reasonable price to be competitive with another offering of this same album.  I have kept this album safely in a plastic sleeve since I believe I may have acquired it in the early 1980's from the famous used record album tent sale at Old Orchard shopping center, Skokie, Illinois, as hosted by Chris Hemmert, a famous Beatlefest host as well as the iconic radio announcer(still on the air) of WXRT. That famous annual vinyl sale always had many rare and collectible deejay copies as donated by local radio stations. I sure miss that sale.
