I'm not sure when this record was pressed.

There has many people ask about this promotional pressing and when was it pressed.  There are about two other auctions besides this one that are now selling this on ebay.  Here is what I was able to find out from one of the few remaining RCA Executives that are no longer with RCA, but remember this release.  Apparently, it was for an anniversary during the 70s prior to Elvis' death that this special pressing was issued to RCA dealers only.  I believe it could have been either 1975 or 1976.

Not many were pressed.  RCA had many things that were given to dealers or made specially for just RCA dealers for awards or banquet momentos during the 70s.

I have special discs of just Elvis album label (actual size) that are made of hard plastic that were given as gifts to RCA dealers during such banquets, they were used as coasters for their drinks during the night.  Elvis did appear at a few of their functions over the years.  Some even had pictures taken with Elvis, however you had to be the top RCA dealer of the year due to number of units (albums) that you sold in your district, if you expected to get a picture with Elvis.  That was the icing on the cake, so to speak.  If Colonel Parker had anything to do with this, then sometimes he would only make one, two, three or four items of an Elvis promotion to give to special friends over the years.  Then again, the Colonel might make 100 or 200 of certain items, then again thousands.  RCA had a tremendous amount of promotional products during the 50s, 60s and 70s, mainly because of Elvis record sales. Elvis put RCA on the map.  Now very few promotional items are in very few small record stores, or now, CD stores. Anyway, that's all I know about  this product.
