Description

An original 1st mono press of Girls! on UK RCA. Matrix 1E/1E. Recording 1st published 1962. Label consistent with 1962 first pressing. The heavy-set vinyl come housed in an original mono cover with pinched spine and flipbacks. Will ship in a poly lined inner. I tend to find Elvis records get totally mashed - nice to see a proper time traveller!!
Vinyl (Ex) Fantastic condition considering the vintage. Under close inspection I could make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Nice to hear a cracking original copy because most are usually knackered by this point in time. Very nice clear precise acoustics with hardly any background. Plays clean throughout with excellent insight. Nothing more than a few minor crackles in the 'SHRIMP SONG'. A super performer.
Vinyl (Ex-) Usually wrecked but this example is a survivor. A clean and flat front with just a few thumbnails over toward the opening side. The rear normally ages, but this example seems to have avoided most of it. A bit observable on the flipbacks, but precious little else. Very little edge wear and the openings are still firm. The spine is in good order with all text legible. Just a couple of stress creases and some ageing on the spine. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg) Light ageing. Two side splits have been taped.
