Picture sleeves were created and released in April 1964 for a few of the Gold Standard Series reissues of Elvis singles. This sleeve rates as a high end VG+ with some ring wear as is common to these picture sleeves. It is milder than most, however, and does not cause too much distraction. It has no seam splits, or staples, or wrinkles and presents very well. Some might rate it as VG++.
The record is excellent, and has the original Dog on Top Gold Standard Series label.
Items of Note
This is one of my favorite Elvis singles. I remember the first time I learned that these two songs were flip sides to the same single and have always been amazed that this was just the second record to be released in Elvis’ career (it was released on the Sun label on September 25, 1954). His rendition of “Good Rockin’ Tonight” was already showing his genius at the young age of 19.

I first became an Elvis fan in the fall of 1976 and received my first Elvis record for Christmas that year (from my uncle – it was a tan label “Live at Madison Square Garden” because my uncle liked the song “Never Been to Spain”). I am selling some of the records from my collection in hopes that they may bring as much joy to other Elvis fans and collectors as they have to me.
