"Burning Love Records"

Item:  "Loving You" Orange Label Pressing

Catalog:  EPA-2-1515

Condition Check:   M-/M-

Date of Issue: 1968

Today's Auctions:  Starting off the year right with some more great Elvis!  Today I have some great original sheet music, these are becoming quite rare these days and nearly everyone of these are in near mint to mint condition!  Then tomorrow I will be selling a great set of Elvis EP's, in the morning original dog on tops and then in the afternoon I will be selling some really gtreat orange label EP's, the hardest of all to find!  These are just terrific collectables, most are in awesome shape, check them all out, some real classic collectable Elvis!  Welcome to 2011!

Closer Look At the Item:  Well here come the orange labels!  In 1968 RCA released a very limited number of Elvis Extended Plays on the new orange label.  No one is quite sure why as the EP had long ago fell our of favor with consumers, but none the less here they were.  Never high production numbers, these orange labels are now extremely popular when they rarely turn up as just not many were produced.  Another beautiful EP originally released in 1957 entitled again, "Loving You, Volume 2" , here is the rare 1968 orange label release.  This is a beauty, virtually no wear to speak of on this fine cover, this also is the orignial orange label cover as can  be denoted by No title strip on the front cover  and the small '2' at the bottom on the back cover.  Just a hint of light wear on the front cover, the back cover and spine and top and bottom edge are all awesome, nice M- cover!  The record is in wonderful shape, will call it M-, but very close to mint, can't see any wear on vinyl, just a super nice orange label.  Depending on the price guide, these book out at $150 to $200.  Super item, very rare!

Note on Packaging:  All EP's are packaged  in Japanese resealable mylar covers, the finest in the industry.  Records are not shipped inside the covers, so no worry of seam splits, each record will be packaged in a sleeve of its own as well as the original picture cover.  All records are shipped in boxes, no envelopes here.

Rating Guide:

Mint (M):  Perfect in every way, looks to have never been played, should have that look just as it did when you pulled the record from the new cover at the time of original purchase.

Mint Minus (M-):  A nearly perfect record and cover.  This item should show no readily visible signs of wear,  covers and sleeves should have no more than nearly invisible rings or other signs of slight wear and vinyl should still be completely glossy and shiney, just the very lightest hint of wear if it is tilted to very bright light.

Very Good Plus (VG+):  This record will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled carefully by the previous owner.  Record surfaces will show some light signs of paper scuffing or light scratches, that don't affect the listening experience.  Slight warps that do not affect sound are OK.  This disc should still contain much of its original luster and sheen.  The covers and picture sleeves should also be in very nice shape, they may have light ring wear or other signs of wear, may have a small cut out hole, indention or stamping present.  Also there can be non obvious writing on the paper goods.

Very Good (VG):  Many of the defects found in the VG+ record and cover will be present but more pronounced in the VG item.  Surface noise will be evident, although the record should play through without skipping or repeating.  Groove wear will now be noticable, scuffing and light scratching will be appearent, a scratch now can be felt with a fingernail.  Labels will be marred with tape or tape residue, stickers or descret writing.  The same will be true for the LP cover or picture sleeve.

Good (G):  Good does not mean bad!  A record in good condition should be placed on a turntable and it should play through, all though the surface noise will be evident.  A cover or picture sleeve will have seam splitting, especially on the bottom seam or spine.  Also there will be noticable ring wear caused by the presence of the record.  The defects will start to overwhere this item.

Fair (F) or Poor (P):  This record will be cracked, badly warped, and will not play through without skipping or repeating.  The picture sleeeve or LP cover will show lots and lots of wear, the seams will be split on all three sides barely able to hold the record.  This item will appear near valueless, unless of course it is a rarity that may not be seen again.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!
