Description
This is an auction for an ORIGINAL PROMO/DEMO copy of the 1964 Gold Standard Series single Hound Dog / Don't Be Cruel released in the USA.
The record itself (447-0608 NO DOG WHITE LABEL )is in VERY GOOD+ condition and retains a lot of it's natural sheen.
There are a few light marks/scratches,mainly on the Hound Dog side.
The labels have NO WRITING and are clearly marked with the words "NOT FOR SALE"(see photos)
The picture sleeve is much sought after and is in EXCELLENT-/VERY GOOD+ condition.
This sleeve is over 45 years old and is REALLY HARD TO FIND condition.
There are NO SPLITS,RIPS, TEARS or WRITING!(see photos)
The only things that stops this from grading higher is some ringwear. (HENCE THE LOWER START!)
That said the colours are quite nice and there is NO WRITING!
A MINT copy of this sleeve is $300+ ALONE!!! (£225)
THIS REALLY IS QUITE A RARITY and A HARD ONE TO FIND!!
The record is also stored in a separate paper sleeve to prevent anymore wear to this sleeve!!
Overall 2 years ago this was valued at $300(£195) , so i guess it must now be at least £200+.
I will start this auction at WAY UNDER A HALF OF THAT!!!
With a LOW START and NO RESERVE, you will get a GREAT bargain.
