------NO RECORDS, SLEEVES ONLY no vinyl!-------------- Elvis Presley's first 5 singles, for Sun records in Memphis, were not issued with picture sleeves. When RCA bought the contract and reissued the same 5 singles, they also issued no picture sleeves. Eventually, bootleggers created sleeves, rca finally reissued some of the singles with sleeves (with very era inappropriate pictures) and even Sun (long after Elvis' death in 1977) issued sleeves in mostly black and white. The majority of people who own the 5 singles, either on Sun or RCA (or on a "collectible" specialty label) do not have a picture sleeve to go with the record. So I created these mostly for myself.
This auction is for a limited edition set of Picture sleeves for Elvis Presley's 5 Sun singles. Picture sleeves contain EXCLUSIVE front and back art, never seen on ANY other Elvis Presley release (or magazine or book). Each sleeve is signed and numbered by the sleeve artist (on the inside of the sleeve, not visible unless taken out of protective outer sleeve to look for it.) The sleeve is printed on thick 325gsm cardstock, with matte and gloss finish, similar to most of Elvis' 7" EP releases.
