ELVIS PRESLEY - AN AMERICAN TRILOGY / THE FIRST TIME EVER I SAW YOUR FACE (74-0672) - A SCARCE SINGLE WITH PICTURE SLEEVE FROM 1972!
For your consideration, "AN AMERICAN TRILOGY / THE FIRST TIME EVER I SAW YOUR FACE" (74-0672), by Elvis Presley. This is a very scarce single released in 1972. Once "An American Trilogy" was sent to RCA's "Gold Standard Series" and was backed by "Until It's Time For You To Go", the flip-side of this record, "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" was never to be available again until 1980, when the 8-Record Set, "Elvis Aron Presley" was released! This record grades VG+ on the high end! Very clean surfaces and attractive gloss with just a few very light surface scuffs & scratches that should not impede the listening enjoyment. The Orange Labels are beautiful, NM on this Rockaway pressing. The Picture Sleeve is technically EXCELLENT, but because of the more noticeable ring wear on the mostly black surfaces, I will assign the grade of VG+. There is the standard wrinkling about the corners that are seen on about 95% of all Picture Sleeves as well as the ring wear. However, there are definitely no splits, tears, writing, stickers or staple holes. A really nice, solid sleeve!
GOOD LUCK!
