Description
Elvis Presley Aloha From Hawaii with Gold Saturn contents sticker. Mystery Cover.
This may look like a regular 1st pressing of the Aloha From Hawaii double LP, but there’s something that makes this one special…the Gold Saturn-shaped sticker applied directly to the back cover.
On this release, the Saturn sticker was applied to the shrink wrap, except for the Promo copies with “Not For Sale” stamp where the sticker was applied directly to the cover at the pressing plant. This cover is unusual because it has the Gold Saturn sticker applied to the cover, but it is not a Promo copy. This one comes from the RCA plant in Indianapolis.
In the Presleyana VIII Record price guide there is no mention of this particular Aloha album. It could be a 1 of 1 example for all I know. Some may think that the original owner may have carefully lifted the Saturn sticker off of the shrink wrap and placed it on the back cover. Looking closely, there is no evidence of this. The sticker looks perfectly and professionally placed on the back cover at the pressing plant. If you have any knowledge of this subject, please send me a message.
The cover is in VG+ condition. The records are VG+ with the scuffs and blemishes you would expect, but they play well and look fine. For this item I was thinking of putting a reserve on, but what the heck…let’s see what happens. This rare Elvis record will sell!
