Description
This is an auction for an ORIGINAL copy of the 1958 EP release of Christmas With Elvis released in the USA.
The record itself (EPA- 4340 dog on top) is in VERY GOOD+ / VERY GOOD condition with some visible marks/scratches (none too deep) and retains some of it's natural sheen.( nothing that can be felt though)
The centre labels are clean and have NO WRITING (see photos).
The THICK CARDBOARD picture sleeve is much sought after and was listed in a U.S guide book back in 2016 as $120 in the condition it is in now (which I would say is EXCELLENT- / VERY GOOD+ ) for the sleeve alone!!!
This sleeve is 63 years old and is in reasonably nice condition for the age.
There are NO RIPS, TEARS or WRITING (see photos)
The only thing that stops this from grading higher is small partial seam splits on the bottom and side and some creases /scuffs in the bottom left corner.
The record is also stored in a separate paper sleeve to prevent anymore wear to this sleeve!!
Overall 2 years ago this was valued at $200 (£150 approx)
I don't have a current price guide but i would say at least £160.
This is a great addition to a collection until that mint $300 ( £225 approx) record and sleeve come along.
With a LOW START and NO RESERVE you might be able to grab yourself a bargain!!!
