Description

ITEM DESCRIPTION: This is the first, debut album from Elvis, released in 1956.  It is the "New Orthophonic" version, LPM 1254, High Fidelity  with silver lettering on album, long play.  What is rare about this one is the color misprint on the cover.  The pink is lined up correctly, but the green is offset from the white.  I have looked at hundreds of album covers and can't find this anywhere!  I don't normally sell albums and am not knowledgeable about grading, but will describe.  Also let photos be your guide. The cover is overall quite good - the front is quite clean, with a bit of wear above and left of Elvis' head, and a bit of wear under RCA Victor logo in upper right corner.  The back is more soiled, as photos show, with a small area of roughed up surface in lower right corner.  Spine is good, beginning to separate at top right.  The record itself is likewise hard for me to rate for you.  There is evidence of surface wear and mild scratches - the kind you get from sliding the album in and out of the jacket.  Album is flat with no warping.  We played it on a vintage record player (only once) and there were no skips, jumps etc and very minimal popping.  The label is excellent. Here's your chance for a rare Elvis collectable!
THANKS FOR LOOKING!  SERIOUSLY, THANKS!
PAYMENT:  Please pay using Paypal within 5 days.
SHIPPING:  I ship the day after your payment is received, Monday through Friday.  I do not charge "handling fees".  I estimate shipping as closely as possible, and if actual shipping differs significantly I will refund the difference to you.  I will gladly combine shipping.  If you buy more than one item from me, please wait for me to invoice you with correct shipping amount to save you some money.
OVERSEAS SHIPMENTS:  I am happy to ship anywhere in the world!  But please keep in mind it is not possible to track shipments to many countries once the package has left the US, so my responsibility ends when I drop the package off at my Post Office.  Also, if your country charges an additional tariff, this is your responsibility to pay.  I will not falsely mark contents.
RETURNS:  My basic policy is no returns.  I attempt to describe items very thoroughly, and add many photos.  If in doubt about a detail, please ask questions.  You are entitled to return any item that differs significantly from listing description, or that is damaged or broken in shipment.  As these would be my mistakes, I will pay return shipping.  You may not return an item simply because you have changed your mind.
PROBLEMS:  We should never have a problem!  Please remember I am a human being (on most days!) and occasionally I make a mistake.  My intention is to give you the best description possible, send you a quality item, and make you a happy buyer.  If anything goes amiss in this process, please contact me.  Leaving negative feedback without giving me a chance to rectify the situation is not only uncool, it is against ebay policy.  I want to do whatever is required to make the transaction a good one for you.  Just contact me!  Ebay's (controversial) rating system has made it very punitive for sellers who receive anything less than top ratings in all categories.
FAVORITE JOKE:  What do you get when you cross an agnostic with a dyslexic with an insomniac?  Someone who stays awake all night wondering if there really is a dog.
