Description

WOW! "ELVIS' GOLDEN RECORDS" (LPM-1707) WITH THE ULTRA-RARE "FABULOUS   OFFER" INSERT!!!

What an amazing Estate Sale find!! I uncovered this album in an Estate Sale right here in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1983, along with the gorgeous "KING CREOLE" LP as seen in the previous listing and currently up for bid. This album was in a stack of LP's amongst some Harry Belafonte and Perry Como albums, as I recall. Imagine my surprise upon pulling the record from out of the cover and having this "FABULOUS OFFER" slip out along with the record upon inspection! You now have the opportunity to bid on this rare item for your own collection of Elvis Presley records. This flyer is in Near Mint condition and is fully authentic; BEWARE: there ARE fakes out there! I have seen one and upon close inspection, a trained eye can spot the difference. Jerry Osborne's "Presleyana" has this "FABULOUS OFFER" valued at $300 just by itself!! The record is EXCELLENT; very glossy with just one scratch on "Don't Be Cruel". I played it and it IS audible. The remainder of this LP would grade Near Mint!  The labels are fantastic; very clean with just some light spindle marks present. This label is a variation that is not as commonly encountered as the variety that shows "ELVIS' GOLDEN RECORDS" being centered just under the spindle hole. This title is shifted to the left on the labels. The Matrix Numbers are (Side 1) H2 WP 8398-3S and (Side 2) H2 WP 8399-4S. The cover is VG+ due to a 3-1/2 inch seam split on the top, an area where a price sticker once was removed just below the "LPM-1707" on the back, plus some scuffing on the surface of the cover from contact with other LP's. This is the earliest cover for this album as there is no "RE" after the record number on the back! There is no tape, writing or grafitti present. The white areas, including the spine and other edges, remain quite white! All lettering on the spine is "stand-out" readable! A very rare and original album to add to your Elvis collection. See the photos for multiple views of this record, cover and Bonus Flyer and judge for yourself.

This album will come with its original RCA Victor Inner Sleeve, though there are split seams, along with a plain white sleeve and shipped with the record separated from the cover to prevent seam splits from the record sliding around during transit.

                                          ABOUT ME

I am in the process of selling my collection of Elvis Presley records, which is 35 years in the making. I began collecting just after The King's untimely demise in 1977 and it just expanded from there. Prior to the internet, my collecting sources were "Goldmine" and used record shops, garage sales and estate sales. I amassed a large collection First Pressings, everything except for the Sun Labels and a couple very rare 1968 monaural issues ("Speedway" and "Gold Records, Vol. 4"). Very few of the records that I am placing on ebay grade less than VG, as I have upgraded many records over the years. Now that I am 50, I am looking to reduce volume and keep mainly my 1970's material as I am partial to the "Jumpsuit era". I will be listing some post-1968 material (my duplicate records) as time goes on for those that are interested. Please note: I ship all records in cardboard record mailers and not those flimsy bubblewrap envelopes that offer no real protection against breakage.

Good luck in your bidding and contact me if you have any questions.
