Description
ELVIS PRESLEY - "ELVIS PRESLEY" (LPM-1254). HIS EVER-POPULAR DEBUT ALBUM FROM 1956!!
RECORD: VG- with the scuffs and scratches associated with the grade. I test-played "I Love You Because" and "I'll Never Let You Go" (the softest tracks on the album). The former sounded great; very clear fidelity! The latter had a continuous light "tick" due to a scratch running across. It was noticeable, but not overly distracting. The labels are clean and original with spindle marks being the only thing to mention. The matrix numbers are 6S/5S on this Indianapolis pressing.
COVER: This is the rare, "Light Pink" cover variety! It grades VG with NO SEAM SPLITS! The biggest detraction, however, is what appears to be chew marks from a puppy at the upper right-hand corner. The lower corners have small bends and there is some age discoloring on the back, but very little ring wear to speak of. As mentioned above, the seams are sound on all three sides and the lettering on the spine is fully legible. There is no tape, writing or staple holes present. Would definitely grade VG+ if not for the chew mark!
INNER SLEEVE: The original "onion skin" inner sleeve is included, though there are tears.
