RARE BACK COVER ALBUM
1956 2nd Release
RCA LPM-1382 Elvis (Elvis Presley) Undocumented Variation Confirmed.
RCA Victor presents Elvis, the follow-up second release to , Elvis Presley (LPM-1254). Elvis was released in November 1956 with the catalog number LPM-1382. This record is well documented with all of it's variations including 13 different cover backs, the Old Shep variation, Bands on label, with and without "New Orthophonic" on label, are among the major variations. ***However, there is a relatively recent discovery of another not completely documented cover back variation exists. The desirable cover back that does not contain any photos of other albums, where the track listings are in the upper right of the cover is the closest example to this variation.
This cover, however, is a variation, as listed in Presleyana V as "not yet seen" where the back is text only and no pictures no albums, but the tracks are listed at the "upper left instead of the right."
The more common text only and pictures no albums back compared to this rare variation.
It's Indianapolis pressing, Matrix side1 # G2WP-7207-1S side 2 # G2WP-7208-12S. Label are printed Silver with Elvis above spindle hole in small fonts. "Side 1 Track 6 Otis Blackwell-Elvis Presley." With " New Orthophonic High Fidelity" Long Play on label. RCA record sleeve has, RCA 21-112-1 PT33 P & RS on lower left corner.
The album is NM with no bends,bumps or ring wear showing on cover. But does have ink marking on elvis sleeve which is very undectabled un less one is looking very close. And the store sticker is missing. And I also had album put in a vacumn seal cover to protect the cover its up to the buyer discreation to open and also has been stored in a Mylar storage cover. I bought this album at the age of 9 a the local 5&10 Ben Franklin Store. But should you want more photos please request them by contacting me.
